I love few things more than a big, beautiful indian wedding, so much vibrant colour, emotion, tradition and food! I first met Kapil and Melissa a year ago when Kapil got in touch with me about their Wedding in the UK. When we eventually spoke on the phone it was a pleasant surprise to realise we were both kiwis! It’s been so amazing being a part of their Wedding journey.
I don’t think I could have been more excited when hearing about the Wedding plans, two full, beautiful days. A civil wedding and reception on the first day and a traditional Hindu celebration on the second. So much time, detail and planning went into this Wedding and I have a huge amount of admiration for any couple who can pull it off! Melissa had two weddings so of course two beautiful gowns too! The first day she wore a cream and gold lehenga fusion created just for her in India. Day two was the more traditional red lehenga and I still can’t decide which one she looked more stunning in! Guests from all over the world joined them at the Belfry resort in Sutton, I don’t think you can beat the kind of atmosphere that’s created when all the guests stay on location. It’s all the antics in between that make the day so special too.
I must give a huge thank you to Emily Jackman for shooting Saturday with me and my dear friend Helen Abraham for shooting with me on the Sunday. Happiness shared is happiness doubled 🙂
