There’s almost nothing as romantic as a destination elopement, particularly when they happen on a beautiful Greek island! Nancy & Joe, from Australia decided to sneak away on the holiday of a lifetime and tie the knot too. I was so privileged to work alongside Maria from tie the knot santorini to capture the afternoon. A scorching greek day didn’t stop these two from glamming it up completely. The ceremony was held simply but beautifully, dressed with flowers and on the balcony of the villa where they were staying.
I was thrilled to shoot a “first look” for these guys seeings as there were only four people at the wedding! the look on Joe’s face when he saw his beautiful wife-to-be was just so moving. Nancy wore a gown from an Australian designer and a pair of killer gold jimmy choo’s. If ever there was a reason to have a destination elopement, surely the shoes should support it!
These two were not camera people – like the rest of us right! So I knew I did extremely well to have them in front of my lens for so many hours on end. This was by far the most intimate wedding I’m yet to photograph and it was such a pleasure to document it. After they were married we snapped a few more pictures before they slipped off for a cliff-side romantic meal for just the two of them.
