Millbridge court wedding, UK – Harriet & Rich

I was lucky enough to meet Harriet & Rich at another gorgeous wedding I photographed in the UK a couple of years ago, they were guests at Kate & Paul’s wedding in London. I say time and time again that this is my most favourite way to meet my couples – good people will always lead you to good people. And this was no exception, when they reached out to me about their Millbridge court wedding it was no exception – this is a gorgeous  venue set in the english countryside – but before this they had their ceremony at the nearby All Saints Church. I only get to photograph a couple of church weddings a year nowadays so they’re such a delight for me. It helped that Harriets divine Pronovias gown was absolutely made for this venue! In saying that I also love a groom who knows and values his personal style – I especially adored the colour Rich chose for his suit. See if you can spot the super cute detail on his tie in some of the shots – picked out by Harriet’s mother.

Their emotional ceremony finished up and they whisked away in Rich’s second wife (I’ve never seen a man so proud of his car!) and headed to their cocktail hour. This was a wedding on the 1st of September, which traditionally is a very rainy and cold date at the end of the Summer for the United Kingdom. But the sun shone all day long for these two – and the stunning autumn light meant we had the opportunity to create some epic portraits for them as the day came to an end. Harriet had absolutely no hesitation when I asked her to run down the road, over a fence and through a field to chase the disappearing sun!
