Nicole & Tim – Uluwatu, Bali { Where we’re going – you don’t need swimsuits.

“There are some people in life that make you laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and live just a little bit better”

I’ve known Tim & Nicole for over a decade now, and they are two of the best people I know without a doubt – they also form part of our wonderful family of friends. A year ago today a little crew of people proved just how loved they are by travelling from all corners of the world to gather in incredible Bali to celebrate with them. With Bali’s amazing atmosphere and instant warmth you get upon arrival I couldn’t think of a more fitting place for my two dear friends to be married.

I knew when the wedding arrived it would be anything but conventional, and hopefully from the images you can get a sense of the magic we all felt for that week. This celebration was an absolute testament to these two and they stayed true to who they are in the best way possible. Nicole came down the aisle in that gorgeous colourful dress, sustainably and ethically made and purpose chosen so she would wear it again, barefoot and with her grandmothers pearls. Her sister Sarah did her hair (she also did my hair a few years ago at my wedding!) and Nic did her own makeup. Our friends Annabel & Andrew married them in a thoughtfully custom made ceremony. They wrote their own vows and spoke them with conviction, Our friend Mark gave a hilarious reading from the heart while our Emmy called a ceilidh and tried to wrangle an incredibly drunk but happy crowd well into the evening. It’s fair to say the photography stops at a point where it’s probably best that way.

Days like this only come along once in a while, I hope you enjoy the images and their story.
