This chic garden wedding was a highlight for my New Zealand season this year. When Katie & Jonti first got in touch with me about their day I could tell that detail was important to them and they had an eye for style.

They married at one of my favourite Auckland venues, so secluded and beautiful – The Ambers bed and breakfast in silverdale. This venue is divine and features a stunning tree-lined driveway leading you into the gorgeous villa awaiting at the end. I spent the morning with Katie and her line up of victorias secret-esque bridesmaids at an exclusive cliffside auckland home overlooking the ocean. Meanwhile I was lucky enough to have Steph from Bubblerock shooting Jonti and the guys over at Room 104 in the city where they spent the morning being pampered and getting ready. See if you can spot Spencer, Jonti’s gorgeous little french bulldog in his custom made suit for the day. Absolutely dashing.

When Katie showed me her Inbal Dror wedding gown I just about fell over, actually I think I might have. It was like seeing a unicorn – just too beautiful that it just couldn’t be real. I don’t think I breathed in the entire moment whilst she put it on, just breath taking. Like so many of my couples, Katie & Jonti decided to optimise the time they spent with their guests by doing their photos beforehand – which meant I got to shoot a first look! The stunning cascading marble staircase was an easy choice and watching Katie float down behind a semi-nervous Jonti was one of my favourite moments of the day.

The ceremony was a perfect combination of  funny, romantic and laid back and we quickly moved into mingling, lawn games and divine canapes. The reception was much the same and it was easy to see in the speeches just how well loved these newlyweds are.
